THE EARLY YEARS
I grew up in the Southern Highlands, New South Wales, Australia, living at a boy's primary school. I had two older brothers who i was always very competitive with so my parents thought they would do something about that and they took their little eight year old to the local swimming pool on a Friday night and I started swimming club.
I quickly fell in love with training and pushing myself and for the next eight years i progressively took this more seriously, waking up at 4:30am six mornings a week just so i could so my swim training.
Eventually my focused moved from purely swimming to running and this became my new passion. I joined Kembla Joggers running club based in Wollongong and went on to win the U20 National Cross Country Championships in 2010.
TRIATHLON
In 2011, I moved to Wollongong to start University while still pursuing my running careers with a Wollongong based coach Ian Hatfield. Later that year, I was accepted into Triathlon Australia's talent transfer program, The National Talent Academy (NTA). From there I was exposed to the world of triathlon and went on to train and race internationally with some of the best triathletes in the world.

I have learnt to travel the world and I have discovered a whole new appreciation the Wollongong community as well as other communities internationally.
I have set goals and failed but also set goals and succeeded. Most importantly I have dealt with disappointment, mainly through injury but I continue to bounce back and the fire to succeed and the passion for the sport is still there.
